The name of the association is “Taichung International Tourism Association”. It is a legally established non-profit social organization aimed at developing Taichung City’s tourism and fostering local prosperity. In helping central Taiwan to develop the international tourism market, industries in central Taiwan joined forces in October 2015 to found the “Taichung International Tourism Association”, including airlines, inbound tour operators, tourist hotels, general hotels, B&Bs, renowned scenic attractions, specialty restaurants, bakeries and souvenir stores. As an important platform in expanding central Taiwan’s international tourism market, the association plays the role of bellwether to integrate tour operators willing to develop international inbound tourism, where the concept of tourism in central Taiwan is applied to help the government promote the policy of “Arrival and departure through central Taiwan” in countries such as China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia.
